Our History
My practice is a continuation of the firm that was established by Robert (Bob) Forsyth QC. Bob was born and raised in Owen Sound. Bob's family was at least the fourth generation of his family to inhabit the area, and he spent most of his life within the counties of Grey and Bruce.
After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, he was called to the bar in 1962. His career took him to from Owen Sound to Lindsay, Ontario working for the Victoria and Grey Trust Company, and then to private practice in Hamilton, Ontario.
With a growing family, Bob and his wife Nancy decided to re-locate back to the Grey-Bruce area in 1974 and began a new practice serving the people of Southampton and neighbouring areas. Bob was appointed the professional rank of Queen's Counsel in 1980. He was very proud of having practiced law for 50 years, achieving a lifetime membership to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2012. Bob's primary concern remained serving his clients to the very last days of his life. He was honoured to have had that privilege.
I am honoured to continue to serve Bob's clients, now and in the future, and make every effort to follow in Bob's footsteps of outstanding customer service so that I may be your trusted law firm.
